Rapidshare Hack: Bypass 1 Hour Download Limit


Ever wanted to bypass the annoying limit on how much you can download on Rapidshare, and don’t want to wait until the next hour to download a second part of a file? Then try this trick. It doesnt work if u use a proxy though.

For Windows XP:

1. Launch Command Prompt: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt

2. When Command Prompt is opened, Copy and Paste this in the Command Prompt:

——– Start Copy after this line ——-
@echo off
echo ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /flushdns
echo ipconfig /release
ipconfig /release
echo ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /renew
exit
——– Stop Copy before this line ——-

3. Command Prompt does the rest from here.

Easiest way I’ve found is as follows:-
1. Download any file you’re currently working with
2. Come off line & close down your browser at the same time
3. This is the part which could alter. Although your personal IP addy changes every time you connect to the Web, Rapidshare seems to be keyed on the backbone IP which your ISP uses. You have to figure out how often this changes. In the UK, I’ve found that it changes every second minute. For your own situation, all I can suggest is that you experiment. Depending on how often that IP addy changes, wait till the next minute and then reconnect. Paste in the next Rapidshare URL and try it.
This seems to work here in the UK. I can’t predict how other countries setups may alter this scenario–but hey, it’s worth trying.

Another quick little tip:
If you have a number of Rapidshare links to get, copy and paste them into an app called Metapad. This little editor keeps the links active, so that when you have to come offline and renew IP (as per my last), you don’t then have to reload the initial page or email you got the original links from. You should always have Metapad open with your links so that all you have to do is point and click.
When you’ve got the files, hit “home” on the link you’ve just completed and hit the letter “d” (standing for done/dusted, down or whatever you like). This will destroy the live part of the link, and means that one glance at the list of URLs in Metapad is enough to tell you which ones you have and which you still have to go for.

just tested…rapidshare is now bans proxie downloads too…well Hide Ip Platinum is killed,
Grabber is too, Change IP (proxie ) too…cmd ipconfig.bat worked one day last week!

looks like the gestapo find any new suggestion or program the same or next day as we do when searching on google for these keywords…they might have a script to search for that automatically every time….

When you connect to the Web, do you get an icon in your taskbar showing that you are online? If so, right-clicking on that icon should give you the facility to close the connection therefore going offline. Admittedly, an on/off switch on the modem/router is another way to go, but it depends purely on the type of connection/equipment you have.
Regarding the proxy downloads, as far as I know, RapidShare have banned proxy connections for quite a while. They were forced into the move by govt legislation within the EU setting up the “improved” backbone system throughout Europe. The fact that 95% of the time the whole reason for the move (that of improved security) doesn’t work is neither here nor there to the politicians. They’re not the poor saps having to work with the mess which has been created.
I would agree that the ideal solution would be to buy a Premium account, but for those without the facility of a credit card that is extremely difficult (more so now than ever, in the wake of revamped security in the wake of terrorist alerts). And don’t even mention Paypal: that has to be the biggest con ever foisted on an unsuspecting public.
