Honey Toffee
Ingredients:

1 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup each packed brown sugar, butter or margarine
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Spray 9x9x2" pan with nonstick cooking spray. Spread pecans on bottom. Heat honey, sugar and butter to boiling in a 1-qt. saucepan, stirring constantly. Boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, 7 minutes. Do not let scorch or burn. Mixture should be toffee-colored. Immediately spread mixture over pecans in pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot mixture and spread as they melt over the toffee. Cut into squares while hot. Refrigerate until firm.

English Toffee
Ingredients:

1 cup unsalted butter or margarine
1-1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
3 tbsp. water
1 lb. each bittersweet chocolate, ground pecans
Directions:
Melt butter and sugar, add corn syrup and water. Boil over high heat until candy thermometer reads 300º F. (150º C). Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Break into pieces and dip in melted chocolate. Cover with ground pecans.
